The Westonbirt 1st Lacrosse team delivered a confident performance to secure a 10-5 victory against Sherborne.

The game began with Westonbirt asserting their dominance, storming to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter. Sharp attacking plays and strong defensive work set the tone early on. In the second quarter, the team extended their lead to 5-1, with their relentless pressure proving too much for Sherborne to handle.

In the third quarter, Sherborne pushed back, managing to find some momentum. However, Westonbirt’s defense, led by the incredible Katie C in goal, held firm, keeping the quarter score to 6-2 in Westonbirt’s favor.

The final quarter showcased Westonbirt’s skill, as they capitalized on key opportunities to finish the game 10-5. Upon returning from injury, Taya D was instrumental, controlling the pace of play, winning vital ground balls, and contributing to the attack set up. Katie C’s outstanding saves kept Sherborne at bay, ensuring Westonbirt maintained their lead throughout. Thank you to Sherborne for a great match.
