The Westonbirt U12 lacrosse team delivered a commanding performance against Sherborne, securing an 11-2 victory.

Westonbirt exploded out of the gates in the first quarter, showcasing incredible energy and precision to take a dominant 7-0 lead. The team’s clinical finishing was on full display, leaving Sherborne struggling to find a foothold in the game.

In the following quarters, Sherborne regrouped and pushed back with increased intensity. Westonbirt faced more defensive challenges but held firm, thanks to the exceptional effort of Poppy W. Poppy covered every inch of the field, driving attacks forward while also excelling in the defensive end with crucial interceptions and clearances.

The match concluded 11-2, with Westonbirt maintaining control and finishing strong. The victory reflects the U12 team’s growing confidence and teamwork, with Poppy W earning Player of the Match for her all-round outstanding contribution.
