Our match was a nailbiting game throughout playing St Mary's Calne. St Marys Calne winning off the draw meant our midfield went straight to our defensive end as St Mary's Calne had posession and made some fast breaks to goal, meaning the score was 2-0 to St Mary's.

Into the second quarter we stripped our focus back to basics and focused on our ground balls and our spacing transitioning into our attacking end. Westonbirt knew that if they have posession and a free alley to go, then take the shot. A lovely goal from Alice F who gained posession in the middle third where the majority of both teams were fighting for the ground ball she ran through it was able to beat her defenders and take the shot.

In to our final quarter Westonbirt were 3-2 up, winning from the draw we gained posession and a fast break meant another goal which took the score to 4-2. Some great defence from Ruby S, Freya T and Anna McClunne who were tight on their attackers and forcing them wide preventing the shots and communicating well.

With minutes remaining St Mary's Calne intercepted were determined and picked up a ground ball in their third and scored which meant at the end of the match the final score to Westonbirt was a 4-3 win!
