A sodden pitch proved challenging in a scrappy first half, which was dominated by a pressing Westonbirt defence.

However , with some poor handling and decision making, the team were lucky to lead 21-0 at half-time, with tries from Xavier, Az and Jonny.

The second half saw a much improved attack resulting in some impressive team tries. Better passing provided much needed width. Added to this, the commitment to rucks improved and with the team controlling the ball, they were able to play together and for each other. Sebastian ran in his first try of the season, while Harry G finished a fine sequence of play, along with a further score from Jonny and two solo scores from Benji and Max G.

Player of the match was Az, who controlled the game well at fly half and helped move the ball wide. But this was a real team performance, especially in the second half. Much to look forward to after half term.
