Tournament report:
Today Westonbirt travelled to the Bristol 7’s at QEH.
After a very competitive group, including a very close match against the Gold Cup finalists we progressed into the Bronze Semifinals.
The team played good running rugby and passed the ball well to open up scoring chances against Oasis Daventry, winning 4 try’s to 2. This set up a thrilling Bronze final against Clevedon School.
Both teams started at a high pace, looking to make the best of their chances with Westonbirt scoring making it 5-0 at halftime.
The second half was almost a repeat with both teams working hard to create scoring opportunities.
The U12’s gave everything they’d got coming out winners 10 - 5. A fantastic end out first 7’s tournament of the year.
