A fantastic sunny afternoon’s rugby at Cheltenham College saw Westonbirt’s U14’s play in a triangular tournament against, Cheltenham College and Clifton College.
First out we played Cheltenham College in a very exciting match, with Westonbirt scoring first. Its was fantastic to see the players focusing on the set plays, they’ve been developing in practice. With Westonbirt running out 33 - 5 winners.
In game 2 we faced Clifton College, in a game where we had to work hard to close their running game down.
The team showed incredible strength in defence, and with a dominant attacking performance came out winners 31 - 5 in the end. A fantastic way to prepare for this weekends home fixture against Downside.
Players of the day:
Tom B, Wilf E, Johnny W and Aziriel A, who all joined Westonbirt in September, and have made a huge contribution in training and matches. An exciting season ahead.
