Venue: Away

In an action-packed afternoon of rugby, our 1st XV team competed in a triangular match against Downside and Clifton College. The first game against Downside showcased a thrilling display of physicality and speed. While our players demonstrated great adaptability and competitiveness, a few missed tackles allowed the opposition to capitalise and score three tries. However, the team persevered and maintained possession for an extended period until Toby Bunkle seized an opportunity, sprinting 30 meters to score a crucial try between the posts.

Building on this positive momentum, the team approached the match against Clifton College with increased intensity and improved game management. Displaying remarkable teamwork near their own try line, preventing the opposition from scoring on several occasions. Although Clifton scored first, Rhys Flack's impressive 50-meter individual run from a quick tap, followed by a clever kick behind the defence, shifted the momentum in our favour. The team continued to press forward and secured another try through Jack Chipumha following a 5-meter free kick.

Throughout the matches, the players emphasised the importance of focusing on the finer details to achieve success, recognising that meticulous attention to detail is key to reaching their goals. This valuable lesson highlighted the necessary steps towards achieving success in rugby.
