The U16’s travelled to Kings College Taunton for a Triangular fixture, including Taunton School.
In two very competitive fixtures Westonbirt worked hard, consistently asking questions of their opponents. On a day where we made 5 changes due to illness and injury the players gave their all, but on this occasion the depth of their opposition squads was just too much.
Playing against larger schools A teams has given the players the hunger to play at this level, and we leave Somerset a stronger group as a result.
Both opponents congratulated Westonbirt for their play, attitude and willingness to take on tougher opponents than ever before.
With one weekend left of the XV’s season, we look forward to hosting Wycliffe College I our Christmas fixture.
